Jasmine's Senses
The gunpowder green tea name comes from the appearance. During production the leaves are rolled very tightly what makes them look like gunpowder. It has been produced in the Chinese province of Zhejiang since the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
Rolled leaves after pouring hot water straighten and "swell".
It is believed that the smell of jasmine has an anti-stress, calming and mood-enhancing effect.
The method of brewing green tea especially the Gunpowder type, varies from region to region and depends on personal preference. When brewed at around 80 °C, the tea gives a mild flavor.
